When the seller delivered it, one of the legs had broken in transport. She felt so badly, she gave it to us for free! A little sanding, some wood glue, and an overnight clamp later, good as new. That table now serves as a bedside table in our guest bedroom today, and it didn’t cost us a penny. You just never know what treasures are waiting for you out there.

Our current living room has white walls, mostly brown, or cream and red upholstery, dark brown wood finishes, a faux wood floor, and a coat closet door painted green. I see such potential here! For fun, I fed my image to AI with the changes I’m thinking of. For the walls, I’m considering a faint dusty pink color. One that you almost can’t tell is pink, to soften the “white box” feeling. Then I’d like to add some blue to break up the current “beige-y” color that is dominating. This would complement the blue & red Persian-style rugs I’ve been eyeing on Marketplace.
Here’s the result! This is such a handy tool for envisioning a space without spending a dime. Now I can quickly tell if something is or isn’t going to work in this space. I can already see that the fabric on the ottoman disappears into the rug. This helps me know where I could safely move ahead without wasting time or money on things that won’t work. Now to choose that soft pink paint color…

But it also includes the layering of color and pattern. Throws draped over chairs, pillows on sofas, the ottoman fabric over the rug, the painted fireplace surround over the Portuguese tile, the curtains behind the upholstered armchair.
