Antique Cottage Valentine’s Day ~ Decorate with Thrifted Home Décor!
Oval gold frame with rose needlepoint, red vintage books and scattered rose petals for Valentine's Day decor

Hello friends & welcome! I’m excited to share with you today some decorating inspiration for thrifted, vintage, and antique home décor for Valentine’s Day!

We begin, as usual, by collecting any home décor on hand that will fit the vintage/antique cottage style for Valentine’s Day. Most of what you see here has been collected over the last few years from trips to the thrift shop. This is my favorite kind of treasure hunting!

Table of thrifted Valentine's decor: red books, dried roses in a basket, copper kettle, china, silver tray, oval frame
Dried flowers and green leaves on an ornate silver tray beside a red book and floral china
Oval gold frame with rose needlepoint on a white crochet doily by a French Country book and dried roses

Oval frames always catch my eye and the delicate floral details, domed glass, and Victorian needlepoint were no exception. This piece of art was a recent find at a tiny antique store for $7. I’m excited to see how it will look mixed in with the other décor items.

Basket packed with dried roses in pink, mauve and deep red with purple statice on a crocheted doily

All the dried roses in this antique splint oak harvest basket were from bouquets Matt has given me over the years. He is the romantic type & I’m so grateful for this gorgeous collection of sweet memories!

The bright, copper kettle was a gift from a dear friend many years ago & it finds itself a part of many décor themes.

Wood hutch with floral china, red books and crocheted runners under a chandelier, with copper kettle and roses

While we’re decorating for Valentine’s Day let’s take the extra décor that didn’t fit on the hutch & create a lovely centerpiece for the dining room table.

Five brass candlesticks with red taper candles in a wooden dough bowl surrounded by red rose petals
Pink candle burning beside a floral china bowl of paperwhite bulbs in pebbles, with rose petals on lace
Paperwhite bulbs in a floral china bowl on a milk glass stand beside a lit pink candle and framed roses

Simple, yet very romantic, this table setting is calling for a fancy dinner by candlelight with someone special.

Thank you for joining me today as we decorated for Valentine’s Day. I hope you enjoyed your visit & found some inspiration for decorating & celebrating in your own home!

Warmly,

Rachel
